  • Staff Management in an International Context

  • Budgeting in Educational Organizations

  • Comparative and International Education

  • Service-Learning: International and Domestic Community Partnerships

  • International Student and Scholar Services

  • Working with International Indigenous Communities

  • Principles and Practices of International Education

  • Study Abroad and International Exchange

  • Higher Education Administration

  • Crossing Cultures

  • Biculturalism and Multiculturalism

  • Counseling Skills for Advisors

  • Contemporary Latin American Language and Culture

As the Monterey Institute is a professional school, I have had the privilege of partnering with accomplished practitioners in the field of international education to design curricula and assessment tools for K-12 programs, as well as devise international recruitment strategies for businesses.

  • Designed a service-learning curriculum and implementation toolkit for the International School of Monterey’s IB Middle Years Programme. This curriculum was instrumental to their application for IB accreditation and was focused around student empowerment through facilitated community engagement and the importance of reciprocity in service-learning.

  • Partnered with Where There Be Dragons, a leading provider in international experiential education, to develop a student assessment platform which evaluated students' growth in leadership, global citizenship, and self-exploration after completing programs in the developing world.

  • Created a staff recruitment plan for GVI Costa Rica to find local talent to manage their intensive Spanish and service-learning programs in Quepos. Materials were in Spanish and English to attract qualified bilingual applicants who were familiar with the area, and committed to making meaningful changes in the local community.
